Get The Look! Russ Henshaw Style

We often receive emails inquiring about what gear our Volkl Freeski riders are rockin. Here is a breakdown of recent Dew Tour champion, Russ Henshaw’s killer style:

COLOURS | Dress Blue/Yellow, Deep Blue/Fern Green, Yellow/Deep Blue

MEMBRANE | SYMPATEX – Perform better without sweat! Expels sweat more effectively. The Sympatex membrane absorbs moisture from the body and expels it outwards. The means that moisture does not build up inside the clothing, overheating and excessive cooling are avoided. The result: optimum wearer comfort for maximum performance. The Sympatex membrane is made of recyclable materials that pose no health risks and is 100% ecologically degradable. Maximum protection for both consumers and the environment.

INSULATION | CPi Insulation – innovative microfibre weave creating maximum heat insulation. CPi is up to 10X lighter and thinner than conventional insulating materials. CPi also helps retain twice the body heat compared with other polyester insulators of the same thickness of material.

FEATURES | Zip-off sleeves, removable snow gaiter, removable hood, fully seam sealed, waterproof zippers, cable guide, Lycra cuff with thumbhole, extra long fit, Russ Henshaw signature jacket

STYLE | WALL – the first choice for our team riders featuring a hard and direct flex, offering very agile steering thanks to the extra carbon layer. The symmetric twin tip with a camber shape is designed to hold true to a line on both the approach and landing, regardless of whether in the pipe or on the kicker. Carbon inserts and a multilayer woodcore lend the ski outstanding elasticity on jumps as well as the durability required to hit the big air.

DRIVING SKILLS | Ambitious, professional, cruising, freeride, freestyle, park, moderate to fast speed, tight and wide curve radius

TRICKS | Jumps, Fakie

TERRAIN | Park, Pipe, Piste

CORE | Multi layer woodcore, Tough Box Construction

CAMBER | Full Camber  – the constant edge length provides maximum running smoothness and steering. Depending on the individual model the riding character is specified for various purposes such as sporty on-piste skiing, precise approaching of kickers or simply very stable while skiing straight on or in soft turns

STYLE | KINK – the Kink stands out for its versatility, since it’s more that ready for obstacles in the park, tricks in the pipe and liftoff on the big kickers. The multi-layer woodcore and Tough Box construction make this ski tough as nails as well.
